We are moving into the fourth day of our course and the students are in process, beginning work on a design for a Permaculture demonstration site for Duke Farms in New Jersey and the Northeast Organic Farming Association. In the previous two courses students did two iterations for this area (seen in the picture), and our current students are reviewing this work in detail and will revise and affirm. I will have a meeting with the director of Duke Farms tomorrow about the implementation of the designer’s work which will take place in autumn of 2014. It is wonderful to see students moving all the way through the design process into putting it all on the ground. During installation all students from previous courses will be invited to participate. Duke Farms sees over half a million visitors a year and Permaculture will be in full swing and quite visible in the most densely populated state in the union (my home state).
