Greetings from Carbondale, Il

Greetings and welcome to the Permaculture Project Blog. You can find information about the Permaculture Project at www.permacultureproject.com. My name is Wayne Weiseman. I will be posting frequently about Permaculture and related topics and I look forward to your responses. Today I harvested all morning, washed a small batch of bio-diesel, gave a lecture on the multi-functional uses of plants, with a concentration on medicinal values, finished an upgrade on my website and spent time with the family in the evening. I will be focussing specifically on “why Permaculture?” in the near future. Yours.

"Order is found in things working beneficially together. It is not the forced condition of neatness, tidiness, and straightness all of which are, in design or energy terms, disordered. True order may lie in apparent confusion; it is the acid test of entropic order to test the system for yield. If it consumes energy beyond product, it is in disorder. If it produces energy to or beyond consumption, it is ordered." - Bill Mollison
"When it is understood that one loses joy and happiness in the attempt to possess them, the essence of natural farming will be realized. The ultimate goal of farming is not the growing of crops, but the cultivation and perfection of human beings." — Masanobu Fukuoka (One-Straw Revolution)
