Arizona – 2008
This was a family trip in which we explored Arizona from North to South with a majority of our time spent in the Tucson area, which is in the middle of the majestic Sonoran Desert. We visited many Permaculture designers and enthusiasts along the way. This is an excellent example of a drylands environment. With deserts expanding yearly, we need to pay particular attention to these fragile ecosystems and begin to create designs which are not only useful to ourselves but can begin to rebalance and revivify the desert biome.
