Design Certificate Course – Online

The Permaculture Curriculum contains the creative and experiential application of living skills passed down by our ancestors into the present time and beyond. A Permaculture Training is designed to teach students to utilize what is available in the immediate landscape in a conscious and ecologically astute manner. By learning from the ground up we immerse ourselves in living history where knowledge and hand skills come together in an integrated, healthy fashion.

Please refer to the hands-on Permaculture training for detailed information in what is included in a Permaculture Design Certificate course.

This on-line course is designed for 6 modules leading to a final design of your property. In order to give you enough personalized instruction on-line the preference is to spread out the instruction over the course of a year. Most PDC’s are completed within 8-12 days and these courses include many students in a group situation. The fact that this is one-on-one affords the student the opportunity for more integrated and focused study. If you are interested we can work out a fee schedule over the year.

Online Course

  • A one year, six part course (2 months per segment)
  • Upon completion of a final design the student will receive the Permaculture Design Certificate, sanctioned by Bill Mollison and the Permaculture Institute of Australia
  • Based on personal profile and needs the instructor will send lessons pending completion of previous lessons
  • Recommended readings will be included with each lesson
  • The student will receive a complete 180 page outline, detailed bibliography, Earth Users Guide to Permaculture – by Rosemary Morrow, six recorded Introduction to Permaculture webinars, and 150 self study questions.

  • Communication between instructor and student will take place by e-mail, snail-mail, digital photographs and, if necessary, by phone (this will be limited to “emergency” calls)
