We have a crew collecting up to four hundred bundles of phragmites for the thatching portion of our July 1-14 natural building course on the bluffs of the Mississippi in Wisconsin during the summer of 2012. This is one of the few plants that the DNR will allow anyone to remove from a wetland area.
