We are into our third day here in Detroit working with several teachers discovering ways for Permaculture to find its way into an interesting city, to say the least. Detroit is a phenomenon like no other in this country. A sprawling, bankrupt city ready for massive change. As I wander around this city I can see the rural creeping in and I envision a farming oasis where a food desert now lies.
