It has been one of the most enlightening weeks of my life being here in the heart of Detroit. What looks like destruction is opportunity. What looks like a food desert is an opportunity for growing healthy food. What looks like industrial abandonment is an opportunity to get out from under the heavy fist of the corporation. Our students were out digging swales yesterday at D-Town Gardens. What a great and heartfelt crew. What an honor to deliver a course to these folks.
