Village of Thompson, Connecticut Project

Hello everyone!

We’re thrilled to share one of our latest projects, completed in 2024. This initiative has been two years in the making, designed for the city of Thompson in Northeast Connecticut. Now, as we move into the next phase—overseeing its implementation—we’re excited to see the community bring it to life.

Working with the people of Thompson has been an incredible experience. Their organization, dedication, and vision have been truly inspiring. The entire town is coming together to realize the goals outlined in this project, and we’ve had the privilege of visiting the site multiple times, hosting workshops, and experiencing their warm hospitality. The property features an outdoor kitchen, a compact greenhouse, a composting facility, a recycling center, a playground for children, a small amphitheater suitable for workshops and events, picnic areas, and picturesque gardens. It offers an idyllic environment for individuals of all ages.

The city is going to use the land as the Food Forest and Small Business Development Center. At the heart of this project is a community hub set on 4 acres of land, where regeneration meets education. This space will serve as a center for workshops, community gardening, small businesses network, and ecological practices such as composting, food cultivation, and water collection. It’s more than just a project—it’s a movement toward resilience, sustainability, and local empowerment.
