Down on the Georgia Farm: Koinonia

I am down at Koinonia in Sumter County, Georgia working with the folks here on getting their farming operation organized. I taught a Permaculture course here in September and will being teaching again next year. This is a wonderful community that has been around for many years. It is rare to work at a community that has this kind of longevity. These folks are dedicated to working together, producing quality organic food, running community businesses and just plain being with each other day to day and staying focussed on their spiritual practice which is not separate from every other part of their lives. It is all one. They are living it and loving it. Brendan, the farm manager, is creating a brilliant mix of animals and crops that will feed people with nutrient dense foods over the long haul. May we all start thinking and doing this in a balanced and healthy fashion. I want to thank everyone here for being so hospitable and welcoming!
