After we read the character of the lanscape we design from what we gather. Darker colors are soils that are youthful and speak health. Depleted soils lose the darkness and are precipitated out in hard salted forms. Persistent organic metamorphosis by micro-organismic activity, which renews the soil matrix over and over again as the birth of life. The flower is the ultimate death of life in all its beauty and the seed is the end result (that does not end) and the infinite point of renewal as a unified polarity. We design based on the round and the radiant, the point and plane mediated by the line formed of infinite points and infinite planes. Lime is round. Silica is radiant. Clay is the mediator. Clay needs lime and silica in order to reverberate into the healthy plant. Acid sand, silica and lime silt. Iron is the fire that transforms substance at the periphery that pours into the material manifestation of life. Lead defies segmentation in appearance but hardens the brain nerves into dementia as death ensues. How do we design the balance of point-line-plane, non-differentiation with differentiation as the year turns and the cosmos blinks its infinite eye with sparks of new life and new death, breathing and breathing, in-out, in-out? The end is inherently and immanently the beginning, enfolded and unfolded. A dome roof is a moist roof. A spire is a dry roof. Earth-water/air-fire. A church spire precludes the transformation at the periphery- a crossing of the threshold in to the higher kingdom of death. Alzheimers wipes out memory as we ascend-descend into bodily manifestation and spiritual glory. The torus twists and turns but is never broken, the perfect spiral.
