Plant Course at Kinstone Academy of Applied Permaculture: First Day

We started our plant course today with a lecture on botany, biology, plant chemistry and field identification. To top it off Frances Ganzekaufer demonstrated how to ferment fresh local vegetables (with spices from the gardens) so that we could taste and eat them by the end of the week. And to think, it is only lunchtime: eight and a half more days of plants in all their guises!!! Food, medicine and utility…
