Here is an excellent resource out of Minnesota that can be downloaded as a PDF. These plants, if we explore them more deeply, are multifunctional species that can be integrated into a biological wetland design for water purification. They do not mind having their feet wet and can also be utilized in wet areas in our landscapes.
