“Frustrated by the Obama administration’s slow pace in restarting offshore drilling in the Gulf of Mexico after the Deepwater Horizon accident last year, Republicans in Congress are proposing a range of bills to force the administration to accelerate the granting of drilling permits and open new offshore areas to oil and gas exploration…” This is a good one. It is important that more drilling takes place in the Gulf so that the remainder of what’s left can be destroyed for a few more barrels of the black stuff so that we can continue our petroleum addiction for a few more years and spew more gunk into the air and get to where we are getting to fast and so that the oil won’t spoil we better use it up as quickly as we possibly can, eh?
