Flying into NYC after the Michigan course I took some photos of the patterns that lie in the clouds and on the landscape beneath. It is befitting that those of us that work in Permaculture would attempt to lift the veil from the landscape and uncover what lies beneath. It always intrigues me how human beings have written, so distinctly, with sharp edge and lack of observation, how the land flows and what forces shaped what we live and breathe on every day. But maybe the rivers and waterways in these pictures force our hand into following the lay of the land and the forming of edge with bodies of water.
