US Becomes Food-Stamp Nation, But Is It Sustainable?

Here is an interesting article about the increase in food stamp use in this country. Rather than distribute food stamps endlessly would it not behoove us to teach folks how to grow healthy crops? What is the old saying about teaching people to fish rather than distributing free fish?
